Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

At [Black Dymond Consulting], we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and protect your personal and professional information when you utilize our website, consulting services, and in-house assistance programs.

1. Information Collection

We collect information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked to you ("Personal Information"). This includes:

  • Identity and Contact Data: Legal name, email address, telephone number, and mailing address.
  • Professional and Project Data: Manuscripts, business plans, author bios, and proprietary project details shared during consulting or ghostwriting sessions.
  • Financial Data: Bank account details, payment card information, and transaction history. For participants in our in-house financing programs, this may also include income verification or other financial documentation required for eligibility.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, time zone settings, and usage patterns collected via cookies and similar tracking technologies.

2. Use of Your Information

Your data is processed only for lawful purposes, including:

  • Service Delivery: To provide consulting, publishing assistance, and business strategy services.
  • Account Management: To administer the Dymond Assistance Program (D.A.P.) or other in-house financing, including payment processing and schedule management.
  • Communication: To provide project updates, respond to inquiries, and send administrative notices.
  • Legal Compliance: To meet tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations in the United States and the United Kingdom.

3. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property

We recognize the sensitive nature of the creative and professional works shared with us.

  • Proprietary Protection: All manuscripts, business strategies, and ghostwritten materials remain the intellectual property of the client.
  • Non-Disclosure: We do not disclose project specifics to third parties without express written authorization, except as required to fulfill the specific services contracted (e.g., submitting to a printer or distributor).

4. In-House Financing and Assistance Programs

For clients utilizing our in-house financing (such as the D.A.P.):

  • Credit Reporting: We do not perform traditional credit inquiries. We rely on the information provided by the applicant to determine program eligibility.
  • Data Retention: Financial records related to financing agreements are retained for the duration of the contract plus any period required by law for financial auditing purposes.

5. Third-Party Disclosures

We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information. We may share data with trusted service providers (e.g., payment processors like Stripe/PayPal or email hosting services) who are contractually bound to protect your data. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

6. International Data Transfers

As we operate in both the United States and the United Kingdom, your data may be transferred across borders. We ensure that all transfers comply with applicable data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and CCPA, providing adequate safeguards for your information regardless of location.

7. Data Security

We implement robust technical and organizational measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration of your data. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Your Legal Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request the correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request the erasure of your data ("The Right to be Forgotten").
  • Object to or restrict the processing of your data.
